How do i hide sub menu items of toolstrip

Question

i'm able to hide menu items using mainMenu.Items[2].Visible = false; but my requirement is to hide only just sub menu items of the users menu not the everything. how do i possible achieve this ?

Suppose you just wanted to hide the Create Login menu item. Then you could do so like this: ToolStripItemCollection tsic = ((ToolStripMenuItem)mainMenu.Items[2]).DropDownItems; foreach (ToolStripItem tsi in tsic) { if (tsi.Text == Create Login) { tsi.Visible = false; break; } } If you know in advance the index of the item you want to hide (0 here) you could also simply do: tsic[0].Visible = false; If the MenuStrip is on Form1 say then you could do this from a separate class file as follows: using System.Windows.Forms; // ... Form1 f1 = (Form1)Application.OpenForms[Form1]; MenuStrip mainMenu = (MenuStrip)f1.Controls[mainMenu]; // now add the above code

your solution is working fine but it'll hide every thing inside the menu i just need to hide one thing not everything . another things is i'm implement this code in separate class file so some lines of code are underline however code is working withing the same form but not in the class file give me the solution for that also. i admire your continues help ToolStripItemCollection tsic = (( ToolStripMenuItem)mainMenu .Items[2]).DropDownItems;
