How do I make current menu item active in asp.net webforms m

Question

How to current menu active i.e. if i selected and go to that page then the dropdown menu need to active( class = active treeview > ) in dynamically in asp .net c#. I want by using jquery or javascript in c#. All the leftside dropdown list are available in masterpage. When a page is posted back your active menu will be reset. What you can do is to use a HiddenField to track the selected active menu and then use the jQuery document ready event to get the value stored in the HiddenField and then set the style of the of the menu to become active.
