how to access textfield value of one page from other page

Hi  thanks a lot in advance... i have one question in mindi don`t know whether which is simple task or complicated task.. but i want to put this question in front of you.. here i am going to calculate summation of 4 textfield values.but 2 textfield values from same html page and other 2 textfield values from another html page. Well I think that's not possible until the second page is a child 'IFrame page or a child modal dialog.
