Hope i understood your question right you want to call a Child Page Method from Master Page on a button click... If it is so it can be very easily achieved by Delegates In your Master Page: public partial class SiteMaster : System.Web.UI.MasterPage { public event EventHandler contentPageMethodEvent; protected void Page_Load(object sender EventArgs e) { } //In the Event Handler of your Button Add Following: // if ( contentPageMethodEvent != null) //contentPageMethodEvent(this EventArgs.Empty); } Now on your Child Page do this: protected void Page_PreInit(object sender EventArgs e) { Master.contentPageMethodEvent += new EventHandler(CalledFromMasterPage); } private void CalledFromMasterPage(object sender EventArgs e) { } Hope it helps....
