How to Add Column and its DataType using Alter query from Command Text

Hi frnds i want to use Alter Query in a Windows based Form how can i use it in command text and aslo the column which i want to add should get its datatype also. thanks & regards Aamir

Got the Solution of my Query SqlCommand cmd1.ExecuteNonQuery(); cmd1.Dispose(); cmd1 = new SqlCommand ( update TableName set IsNewRow=1 where IsNewRow is null  con1); con1.Close();
