how to add message box in asp.net ?

i want to add message box in asp.net of asking are u sure want to delete record? it take 2 button 'ok'&'cancel' .if of then it delete record else cancel how it do?

To suthish sir I have attach my code . in that as u suggested i use java script in my code in that onClick of delete button i want arise one confirm message box after confirming i.e on click of 'ok' i want delete record from database but how can it does ?

to Aniket sir my problem is not yet solve you said onclientclick call javascript method it run successfully.i.e confirmation request is comes but on click of 'ok' of message box i want to delete the record can it possible. in my .aspx form on 'delete' button click it delete sucessfully but before delete iwant that messagebox .so please help

yes sir i saw your article but as in my requirement i want to create one 'delete ' button in my .aspx form .inthat when i take same java script code for delete button i.e onclientclick i call confirm method it show that messagebox but when i click on 'ok' button of that i want to delete the record so what can i do? because page is redirected to the message you click on 'yes' instead of that i want to delete the record . but onclick of delete i want delete the record in database

Write this javascript code on your asp.net buttons source code onclientclick=return confirm('Are you sure want to delete current record') for example if you are using link button for delete then write ' onclientclick=return confirm('Are you sure want to delete current record') />

you have given code to how message box is take in asp.net but when we take delete button on click of that message box method call.so that it arises i.e confrim but i also want to delete record in database when click on the delete button so when we click on asp button it directly delete data nut before that i want confirm message box . please help
