How to attach a random number with an email

Hello Sir I want to send an email with the confirmation code when the user first registers to the site. How to attach random number with email? How to compare it when user enters sent code???plz reply....i m new to asp.net.

For this you will need to do some Db handling. Follow the following steps - 1. Create new table in Db with 2 fields (UserID RandomNumber) 2. Create a new page that will validate the user with the link.(For ex - step2.php/step2.aspx) 3. Whenever user registers add a new record in Db with a random number and created UserID. 4. Send email to user with the same random number generated as a query string. For ex - http://www.abc.com/step2.php?q=random_numer 5. In Step2.php page get the query string and validate the user from the table created in step 1. 6. If it validates delete this record and mark the user as Active. HOpe this helps. Few points in the code below -- 1. I do not see any place where you're saving the user Info to database. 2. I understand that you are having the Confirm and Continue buttons on the same page where user registers. 3. I am commenting few sections in code below. Not really! You can run the application and send the email. From email when you'll click it will opena link something like http://localhost:1234/Continue.aspx?id=1&code=12345 and since your application is running it will find the page to run :)

Hello Sir I am trying to solve this thing in way like this I am sending the user random number by mail and user have to type that code in the form. I want the user to get registered(entry in database) when the code entered by him get matched else not. For that I have to check the code in the same page...but i want to check it in the next page. How to handle the data entry?
