How to Avoid Blinking the Webpage while Doing Postback event.

Question

While using DDL i need to do some filtering according to DDL item selection. while DDL item selection the page is getting referesing or blinking.i need to avoid that one.i need solution in asp.net or in javascript not in AJAX.
