how to bind data in asp.net using 3tier

Question

i need to use 3tier in asp.net design Welcome CANCEL PRODUCTS onselectedindexchanged=ddcan_SelectedIndexChanged> Select   onselectedindexchanged=GridView1_SelectedIndexChanged Width=427px> in DropDownList i have 3 list namely 1.Vegetables 2. Grocery 3.Pharmacy if i choose Vegetables a list will shown in gridview in that i have to edit and cancel .(using link button) i have to edit and cancel the item if i choose Vegetables in dropdownlist . i never use storeprocedure

Dropdown is in outside in dropdown there are three data 1.Vegetables 2. Grocery 3.Pharmacy . if i chose vegetables and the details in vegetables in table shown in gridview in grid view i have to edit and update the details

If I am not wrong you would like to bind gridview based on the selection of dropdownlist using 3 tier architecture and storedprocedure right. inside gridview you will have a dropdown with the same category on edit and update if user change and update you have to update back to the DB using the same architecture . Is it Right
