how to bind dropdown when data is upadting on editing time i

hi frnds how to bind dropdown when data is upadting on editing time in asp.net . i am using same page for isert n update with multiple dropdown list.my data is insert successfully . and this data i am dispalying in gridview .here i kept edit or delete button . so if i click on edit page my page is open but is is not binding which data i insert in data base how to do this ?

Hi Anjali First bind the data in edit mode also when you click then it open in edit format with value . Hi The question that you posted in reply is different from your original question. You should first make this clear if your original question is resolved or not then only you should proceed to another. You text box already have the value  that's why it is showing tool tip. Just increase the size of textbox and check if full data is displayed or not.
