How to calculate extra hours in sql?

Question

di have a table like this

empid	logintime	logouttime	attdate
1	8.15am	18.00pm	01-01-17
2	8.15am	20.00pm	02-01-17
2	8.15am	18.00pm	03-01-17

empid	OTHours
1	0
2	2

when oneday present hour is greater than 8 hours means calculate OT hours

i Siva SELECT DATEDIFF(MINUTE '11:10:10'  '11:20:00') AS MinuteDiff You will get MInuteDiff here right? then if MinuteDiff is Greater than 480min then consider it has OT.. Hi Siva Just write a trigger to update the OTHours while inserting logout time in Employeeentery table. create another two column which saves the time login and logout values. create the calculation in trigger and save the result in OTEmployee table with date
