How to change html controls to asp server controls

Question

I have a designed html page downloaded from internet. I want to convert the html into a asp.net aspx web form using visual studio. So i copy paste the head content and body content from html page to aspx page.But i dont how I can write code in click event of button or textbox in aspx.cs page without changing the layout of the page? Please help

Create a new aspx page in VS copy paste head section then body section from html and replace html controls with Asp.Net controls or add runat=server tag to the controls which you want to use from code behind. Mostly controls like buttontextboxescheckboxDataBound controls etc you need server side to access those from code behind. And you dont need to care about static text elements like labels. Dont forget to verify Css Classes while replacing html controls with Asp.Net server controls.

Dear minu Just add runat=server attribute on button and other control. you will easily able to access it on .cs page.
