Just you get rolename in session and compare like condtion in _ViewStart page try this code: if (Session[RoleName] != null) { if (Session[RoleName].ToString() == user) { Layout = ~/Views/Shared/_Layout1.cshtml; } else if (Session[RoleName].ToString() == adminuser) { Layout = ~/Views/Shared/Layout2.cshtml; } else { Layout =null ; } }
