Make the obvious extremely difficult. There are 1300 libraries and the best you guys can come up with is looping and string formatting? DateTimeFormatInfo dt = new CultureInfo( en-US false ).DateTimeFormat; dt.GetAbbreviatedMonthName(DateTime.Now.Month); Enjoy! ;-) I'm just joking...no offense.

Hi Softair You can use the special formatting strings in the ToString command for date: string MyString = DateTime.Now.ToString(MMM); This will produce Oct (At Least for the next few days) ;) -Mike G.
