How to check size limit of installed sql server 2008 r2

Hii As this article is right  Great news for SQL Server Express users today! We increased the maximum database size in SQL Server 2008 R2 Express from 4GB to 10GB  Then How Can I check what is a size limit of my installed sql server 2008..? I mean My installed server 2008 r2 express having memory of 4gb or 10 gb... Please give me answer if you can.... Pradeep Patel

this change was made in april 2010. try run this : select @ @version to see which build of the express edition you have (widen the result column). it will show you the date. if its after 2010 or later chances are it can take 10gb db. alternatively try and restore a 10gb db or just get the latest downloadable version of express 2008 r2
