How to check the reference count of an exe

Hi I want check the weather the exe is running or not. I can monitor using process class but it won't work always process will show you the alive status even the exe is closed. Please help me. Regards Ajay

Please clarify what you are asking. Is the other exe executed by your program? If not then how do you find it? How is it closed when you say it is closed but the alive status shows it as still executing?

If you're checking whether the process has exited with the HasExited property then it can give a false result if output has been redirected. To avoid this you need to call the WaitForExit() method first. AFAIK handling the Process.Exit event should work properly in all cases. However you need to set the EnableRaisingEvents property to true otherwise it won't fire.
