How to close a .exe program from remote computer

Hi, I want to simply close a .exe program from a remote computer. The computer has user/password authentication and its windows. Is there any way for this? Regards.

Well, you certainly can't do it using the Process class. However, you might be able to do it using WMI. Note that if "Terminate" works the way it probably does, it does not close the application. Termination is not the same as closing. Termination is not friendly, can cause loss of data and can adversely affect a system. The typical way to close an application is to send it's window a WM_CLOSE message. That will usually work but not always. It is the Microsoft recommended way. I do not know of any existing software that will do it but I am sure there is some. It would be easy to write an application. Then all you would need to do is to use WMI to execute the application remotely. If relevant, you could instead schedule the application to execute at a certain time.
