How to compress/uncompress data in C#

Compression Format:Zip or Rar How to read/write zip/rar format data in C#? I remember that there are some functions to process this problem in JAVA! SoWhat can I do in C#? Long for your answer! thanks!

I don't think you can zip directly from the framework but you might want to have a look at some third party components here is a free one that might do what your after.

In C# or .NET you can package a file to a cabinet(.cab) file. So this is about the same as .jar files in java. Hope this helps gilthanas
