how to connect Sql server using IP address in C#.net application

Question

Hello friends I want to connect sql server using internet. How should i connect sql server which is on another PC. Both PC are not in LAN. Is it possible to connect that Sql server ?

You can test your friend IP by pinging eg; Go to RUN and write ping 74.125.236.82 -t if it returns byte data it means your friend IP is public.

Hi Praveen Your PC Should be Show your Friend PC in your Networks. Then Your friend pc Sql Server Surface Configuration set Both TCP/IP and remote. But Your frnd PC have Sql Server Server Version not client.

Open Management studio: Server Name: Ip address Authentication:Sql Server Authentication Login:User name of database on remote server password:passwird of database on remote server one pc should be server means sql server server version install on them but both are connected via LAN/WAN.
