How to connect to remote server?

Hi Our application and database are hosted in two different servers  we are not able to connect with the remote database please give some solutions for how to connect with remote database? Thanks Gayatri P

Hi Gayatri First of all set Enable Remote Connection property true in sql server . If still problem persist then go to sql server configuration manager and enable tcp\ip for correct sql server instance. And at last try to check port 1433 is open for incoming connection or not (there might be some firewall settings you need to change). Hope it will help.
