How to connecting shared database?

My database is in shared folder. now i want to connect to shared database. how to write sqlconnection string. here i am using that shared database ip address but no use..

Please read my article Database Table Update in a DataGridView without Writing Code . That article might not explain how to do what you need to do for your program but the important part of that article is the part about creating a data source. If you can create a data source that way then that will help you to create a connection string. There are otehr ways to create a connection string but doing it the way I describe n my article is a good place to start.

Hi I think you need to give the Machine Name or IP Address.Please check the connection using the Command Prompt Ping.
