How to convert a character into ASCII

Question

I don't know how to convert a character into ASCII code EX:convert 'a' ~97 in Ascii. I need some helps from you. Thanks in advanced!

This uses a textbox to display the changed string and places a - between the letters of the string. for (int i = 0; i != EntryString.Length; i++) { letter = EntryString[i]; byte1 = (Convert.ToInt16(letter) ); richTextBox1.Text += byte1.ToString() +  - ; } Hope this helps
