I already tried with this link http://www.asp.net/web-api/overview/security/basic-authentication This link is very confusing. I am looking for a Step by Step authentication process. So that it is really a helpful for me. I want to post username and password inside a NetworkCredentials class in C# through a http post and later on after receiving the request on server side we are able to authenticate ?
