Hi try this... 1.Right Click on Your Project-->ADD New Item(ctrl+shift+A) Add New Item window opened. then select 2.Select the Visual C# to the Installed Templates -->Web then 3. Select the Web Configuration File(.config) Finally Click the Add Button then successfully Added the web.config to your Project

Hi Check the process To add an application configuration file to your C# project On the menu bar choose Project  Add New Item . The Add New Item dialog box appears. Expand Installed  expand Visual C# Items  and then choose the Application Configuration File template. In the Name text box enter a name and then choose the Add button.
