How to create a Text box from Control class

Question

I need to make a control from the control class. it means that i need to make a text box from scratch. i need to create a class which i can customise and add new features .. please let me know how or where i can get some good info or tutorials to start working on this. Manoj

To create an event: 1. Create delegate (outside the class, inside namespace): public delegate void MyHandler(object sender,EventArgs e); 2.Create event (inside class): public event MyHandler myEvent; 3.Use it in code: if(this.myEvent!=null) this.myEvent(this,new EventArgs()); To draw use ControlPaint class. Get Graphics object from CreateGraphics() control method. Remember to dispose Graphics object after use.

thank you for this i have the picture but i need to learn how can i create a text box from control class. this is the assignment that has been given to me.. i have looked into the net a lot. i have even seen a code . only problem is that i am not able to draw the text box. i have made a class and attched some properties to it like height and width and now 1) how do i make a event 2) how to show the text box in the form. not able to draw it in the form. please help Manoj
