How to create a webmail project?

Hi If anyone have an idea to create a webmail project or already available webmail which realy works now a days. What I have tried: I have tried 10 open source link http://toppersworld.com/top-10-free-and-open-source-webmail-software/ and also tried AfterLogic WebMail Lite .NET open source. Please let me know. Thanks.

try to use an open source web front (such as AfterLogic Webmail or anything even PHP such as RoundCube) -- or create your own because its mainly a web interface the API side you can use MailKit in C# (https://github.com/jstedfast/MailKit)
