Amol Certainly one way you could do it would be to use JQuery UI which includes a nice tab control in the widget kit. You can control the appearance of the tab control entirely through CSS and you can use the Themeroller interface to design the appearance of the tabs to meet with your specifications. Start by looking at the demos here: http://jqueryui.com/themeroller/ You can design an appearance for your entire set of widgets using themeroller and then download that (along with the JQuery and JQuery UI javascript files) to your machine. You can add the files into your content and script folders and you are all set to use them. For starters though, follow the link provided and play with the gallery control on the left side bar. Pick a style from the gallery and watch for the changes to the widgets. The tab control is the second control set on the page. If you pick, for example, UI Darkness for your theme and then look at the tabs, you will see they now have rounded corners.
