How to debug a dll in windows application? please see attached scenario.

Hi If you have a project reference it work immediately. If it is a dll file reference you need the debugging symbols file (with extention pdb ) to be in the same folder as the dll. Check that your projects are generating debug symbols Check following setting project properties => Build => Advanced => Output / Debug Info = full always Copied the dll with pdb file. Let us know if you facing any issue.

1) Launch the application (Exe) in debug mode that consumes the dll 2) From visual studio select Debug->Attach to Process 3) From there you can debug
