Cant track browser close event but when close the current tab you can show a message that you are about to close the window. like as onbeforeunload=return myFunction() > Close this window press F5 or click on the link below to invoke the onbeforeunload event. Close window function myFunction() { return Write something clever here...; }

You can detect the close event of the window not the browser. You can however use the event to work around in your own application.
