How to develop delete using 3 tiers architecture?

Hi Expert I am a beginners in c# just picked up basic c# recently for my project. I would like to ask if anyone have links or method that i can refer to for developing delete functions using 3 tier? 3 tier as in what to store inside the stored procedure aspx.cs and database.cs? Hope you can help me please. Thanks.

Hi friend There's always a difference between layer and tier. if you are going to use tier arch that means your presentation Server application(Business logic) and your Database access layer should be on different server and need a communication like remoting. I think here you want to ask about the 3 Layer architecture. So all you have to do is 1. Create presentation that will contains the UI. (Here you'll call the Delete() function from Helper class) 2. Create another class we call Helper class that holds the business logic. In your case the Delete() function will be in this class. 3. Create a DAL or Data Access class where you manage connection to your database and other general query to the database. (IN your case the Delete() function will get the connection and other resource to fire the Delete query to database) Hope you get idea of 3-Layer architecture. Thanks.

In my idea when you delete one item but this item have value not exists on your table. so it will happen this error. now you can debug and find reason

Debug your code.. look out your to your collections e.g. array lists if you are using they should get populate before using them... to retrieve the value.
