how to downloading docx xlsx and pptx

Whenever i download docx xlsx ar pptx files from IE IE will save them as a zip file. whats wrong? can u help me? thanks...

Check the MIME type details in your web server? When these files are downloaded by the Internet Explorer from a webserver the extension of the file may be changed to zip. (To open this file you just need to change the extension to the correct one) This problem can be fixed at the webserver level by adding the MIME type of the new extensions. One way to solve that problem is just adding the following lines in the web.xml config file to recognize the .docx format : dib image/bmp doc application/msword docx application/msword dtd text/plain Hope this helps you.
