How to encrypt the password in asp.net Web Config

Dear all, how to encrypt the password in web config without any change the code and we also encrypt the password in web config but i am not connecting to sql server.if any idea plz suggest me asap.

That's not entirely true. The Q&A at the bottom mentioned this. To decrypt the web.config you'll need access to the machine it was encrypted on.

Hi pritaeas , this is not the best way to Encrypt to web config because any can run the decrypt the scrpit and decrypt the web config.

Here is an example on how to encrypt your connection string . It requires a code change however. There is no way to do that without a code change.
