How To Export HTML report in Excel?

Question

I have created the HTML reports dynamically in my application. I want to export my HTML report in Exel. I have developed my project in Winforms. How can I do that. Can you please send me any samples regarding that.

Thanks for clarifying! As far I know its not possible to make it in thru web browser. One workaround is to create the excel sheet at runtime with your data. But then you need to use office interop assembly. A good solution is to create rdlc report and show this report in report viewer control. This report viewer control comes with export to xlspdfdoc by default. So you don't need to worry. If you don't know how to create report using rdlc let me know. Thanks.....

Hi I have generated HTML report dynamically using WebBrowser control in winform. I have used StringBuilder Class. and now I want to export this HTML report in Excel. But I think Content type is used in Web Form. I am doing my porject in Winforms. As i am new in this report so i want your help. Please seng me any samples for that.

How are you displaying HTML report? Do you create a HTML file dynamically and show it in explorer window or just saving it in your drive... Could you please elaborate on this? I was asking because if you are showing the HTML in explorer then we can do this by setting the content type otherwise we will think :-) Have fun because you are Microsoft tech coder!
