First you have to get the HTML document element by it's ID or by selector. Then you can get the text and append or do what ever you wish.

Hi You can use jquery/javascript to get this done. Let say you have a label that contains the text. The id of the label is lblTest Vipul and a button on click on which we want to change the text of the lable to Vipul Malhotra from Vipul Now lets create a jquery function to get the value from the label append Malhotra to it and then assign that value back to the label $(document).ready(function () { $('#btn').click(function () { var vall = $('#lblTest').html(); vall = vall +  Malhotra; $('#lblTest').html(vall); }); }); The code is easy and self-explanatory.
