Here's an example. Paste the following code into a file called testdoc.cs: using System; /// contains the Main method for the application class TestDoc { /// Main runs before any other method static void Main() { PrintGreeting(Hello world!); Console.ReadKey(); } /// prints a greeting to the console static void PrintGreeting(string greeting) { Console.WriteLine(greeting); } } Now type the following at the command line: csc /doc:testdoc.xml testdoc.cs and then open the file testdoc.xml in notepad. You should see the following: testdoc contains the Main method for the application Main runs before any other method prints a greeting to the console
