how to generate xml on button click

how to generate xml on button click in mvc using ajax .so that it can not heat database again and again... while creating check for existing and delete the old one.

and there is one button for download the xml....

ya..here is mah requirement given below... CreateXML View - CreateXML.cshtml Button - GenerateXML - Clicking on this button will create New XML file of BlogCategoryTable(this is table in database having six field) while creating check for existing and delete the old one. XML Name : BlogCategory.XML Button - Download - BlogCategory.XML will be downloaded
