how to give permission to user to change the schema name

ALTER SCHEMA sanjay TRANSFER dbo after execute above query i got this error Cannot find the object 'dbo' because it does not exist or you do not have permission. here how to give permission to user

Hi I assume you are changing schema of tables from dbo to sanjay.
