how to import the Access file(.MDB) into Oracle by using ado.net

helloeveryone. i want to import some Access database files (*.mdb) into Oracle using ado.net. Anybody have a good idea? i suppose the xml may be a good choise. look forward to your helpthx!

The documentation of the framework is in Chinese I'll translate it to english as soon as I can. The whole package is only 31K after compression so don't worry about space at all^_^ Anyway I have mailed the dll the code generator and a demo program to you. You can take a glance of the framework. Yes it's true that you have to rewrite the OracleCommand when the table structure is changed. If you want to find an universal procedure perhaps you need an object persistence framework which I am just developing ^_^ DBO an object persistence framework based on .NET metadata Would you like to take a look at it?

thank you john. it seems so complicatedhaha. the main method is that first read the local or remote db file into dataset using the olddb classand then insert it into the oracle database by the sql command. but there is a problemit's not a universal procedure.Once the table structure is differentyou have to rewrite the OracleCommanddo you have any good idea?

There are many db type differences between Access and Oracle I think you have to write some code to control the import progress. Some months ago I wrote a program for importing data from Excel file(.xls) to Oracle. I used some classes in System.Data.OracleClient and the main program looks like this: OleDbDataAdapter odda = ....
