How to iterate to get Gridview datafield name

for Example string Header=string.empty; foreach(DataColumn col in gridview .Columns) { Header += Header +  +grvTransactionLog.Columns[j].headertxt; } Instead of Header Text I want Column name

Hi As per my knowledge there is no direct way of identifying an datafield value of template field as there is no datafield property for template field. I think you should go ahead with bound field

Hi If you are using Bound field in your gridview then you can use below method - DataControlField field = grdviewnew.Columns[0]; BoundField bfield = field as BoundField; Header += Header +  + bfield.DataField;
