How to make a li or 'a' '/a' as active when i click

hi i have 3 links in Masterpage like WorkSpace Work Queue Reports suppose when i click on any of the link that should be active (chenge bg color) . any one help me

Place the ul element inside an div with id=MyLinks WorkSpace Work Queue Reports Now add the following style attribute in your head section of the page #MyLinks li a:visited { background-color: #99FF00; font-weight: bold; } SO when you will select any link that link will become as visited link and the corrrsponding background will chnage to #99FF00;
