How to make comparison of multiple values

Hello I have made a form where the user can enter the ip address and save it in a notepad the same values are retrieved again.Now I want to see whether the ip address are correct and need to pass it in a method Plzz need your advice !

i want the user to add some ip's which can be more than 2 and need to compare this ip's one by one with a method...how to do this?? is it possible with an array?how to compare each value one by one with method I assumed that you are using string array. string[] ipAddresArray = { 192.176.3.3 192.176.3.2 192.176.13.3 }; // Will return the searched IP from the array string[] arr=Array.FindAll(ipAddresArray element => element.Contains(192.176.3.3)); // check the length to find how many times it occurs if(arr.Length > 1) { // do your action } Hope this helps!

Hi Rohit Suppose the user is entering the IP Address in 'textBox1' this will be the syntax: using System.Net; try { IPAddress.Parse(textBox1.Text); MessageBox.Show(Valid IP); } catch (Exception ex) { MessageBox.Show(Invalid IP!

Error:  + ex.Message); } That is to check if the IP is valid. After it is checked you can put it in a notepad file using this code: using(var writeIPtoFile = new StreamWriter(someFile.txt true)) { writeIPtoFile.WriteLine(textBox1.Text); }
