There are at least three ways to read the content of an XML file in .NET: 1. Using XmlReader which provides 'forward only' access to the data. This is fast but is no good if you want to jump about within the file and/or change something and write it back to the file. 2. Using XmlDocument (in combination with XPath) which is an implementation of the W3C DOM. This allows you to both navigate and edit an XML document. 3. Using LINQ to XML (XDocument or XElement) which provides similar functionality to #2. Of these #3 is the latest and (IMO) the best general purpose way of dealing with XML. Also it is just as easy to deal with XML strings or XML files. However it requires some knowledge of LINQ. So I think you need to decide which of these is best suited to your requirements. You can't really 'chop and change' between them.

I m still not getting it clearly i m little confused Which is the easier way to parse By xmlnodelist or XElement or any other way? If you're starting from an XmlNodeList then you'll need to construct an XmlDocument from that and then use XPath to find the nodes you're interested in.
