how to pass values from one form to another form...

Question

hi i m developing application in which i want to pass values from one form to another form. eg. my form-1 contains name & city information. i want to pass this values to another form for further process lets say i want to input name's birth date & email. i m not able to bring form-1's values into form-2. please help me. please mail me code. thank you  bhavin gajjar

you can use it directly like this: class Form1 { public static int a; a = 345; } class Form2 { // assign value of 'a' (345) from class Form1 // to int 'b' in class Form2 int b = Form1.a; }

You could make the variables static.. then access them from anywhere.

Hi....... You can Pass them thru the constructor.....make a consturctor for Form2 that take 2 arguments as : Class Form2: string a  b ; public Form2(string onestring two){ a = one ; b = two ; ..... } in Form1 when you create an object for Form2 just pass the two arguments : Form2 form2 = new Form2(bbgajjar Abdullah); Another way : store the values or attributes in Form1 class ........make two methods (getter mathods) to get the two values.... string a = bbgajjar ; // the string come form the textBox string b = Abdullah; public string GetA(){ return a ; } public string GetB(){ return b ; } then you can use the two methods in Form2 ......you can make them static methods ...so no need to create object of form1 in Form2....... A third way is : without methods just make two properities to store the two strings then use get and set in Form2 to manipulate them.........
