how to place value to hidden box in html using javascript

Hi i was placing value to hidden box in html using javascript.but value has been placed as empty(value=) for every form submission in my project. my requirement is hidden box value should not be empted until page closing.becausethis hidden box value will be changing for every form submission dynamically. in the html define like this: in the javascript assign like this: document.getElementById('hiddenFormFieldName').Value = 'hiddenvalue'; As Ravi said if you share your code it will be easier for us to look and answer.
