How to read and write data from registry?

The registry is sometimes difficult to understand. Microsoft uses confusing terminology and does things that are not logical. So instead of saying that it does not work, try to be specific about what is not working or whatever.

You haven't said what problems you're experiencing. Note that there are some registry settings that won't take effect until after the machine is rebooted.
