If so and you don't want to allow any user interaction in the meantime then you can use: System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000) Me.Refresh() If you do want to allow user interaction then add a Timer set its Interval property to 5000 its Enabled property to True and place this code in its Tick event handler: Timer1.Enabled = False Me.Refresh()
