How to resolve domain names for c# application

hello every body.

i want to connect my c# based inventory application to the server on the local area network.

the question is " how to resolve domain names and than how to connect with the server??" and also " how to get information of all the domains configured on the network??"

Hi there is a method called GetHostEntry in Framework. http://msdn.microsoft.com/de-de/library/ms143998.aspx With IpHostEntry and one of the attached IPs it should be possible to connect you server i.g. with the TCPClient class. http://msdn.microsoft.com/de-de/library/system.net.sockets.tcpclient.aspx regards
