how to restart the windows indexing service catalog in asp.net ?

Question

I m using asp.net to search content in files with windows indexing service Once I add files in my catalog I can perform search But when ever I add new Files or change existing in catalog directory the search operation doesnt perform on added or edited files this can be done in two ways
1- restart the indexing server
2- Restarting my catalog only

How I can restart my catalog Programmatically in vb.net or C#.net

I think I replied to this question earlier anyways ... You don't need to restart the Indexing Service every time to do this. Try the following... Open your console root and right click Indexing service on Local Machine (assuming that is the Indexing Service you are trying to access) go to All Tasks then Tune Performance. Click the Customize radio button then click Customize. Slide the slider all the way to the right to Instant then close the application. If when closing the console you are prompted to save the console settings click Yes. Now anytime you add or update files the Indexing Service should pick them up very quickly.
