how to select latest order from table

i have four table like: 1 clientaddress 2 products 3 ordermaster 4 order details i want select latest order of client in where condition like client_email='' and date= max(date)

Let me suggest one slight improvement please. As much as possible try not to write queries like the one suggested as: ....AND date = (SELECT top 1 date.... The better practice is to declare a separate variable assign the value to it and use that variable in the another query: declare @maxOrderDate [Date] select top 1 @maxOrderDate = Date....
