how to set div tags dimension

iam beginneri like to know how to set div tags height and breathto adujust other html element within it.or how to set box model in div tag.

I suggest put two DIV's in a DIV (which is set to absolute). 'Coz when you set both to absolute then there's no way they will push each other. Here's an example: div id = wrapper > div id = content > Content... div > div id = bottom > Botom.. div > div > For the CSS : #wrapper { position:absolute; top: 110px; left: -400px; width:800px; } #bottom { border-top: 2px dotted #2259FF; font-family: ebrima; padding-top: 5px; height: 200px; margin-left: 50%; background-color:green; } #content { padding: 0px; margin-left: 50%; min-height:400px; _height:400px; background-color:yellow; }

Write a CSS for the particular DIV. div { height : 200px ; width : 50% ; } If you meantions div then it will be applied in all DIV's in the Page. Give ID to the DIV or give a specific name to css style. Eg: .divStyle { height : 200px ; width : 50% ; } then aplly the css to the particular div as
